CERN is not a competition; it is a collaboration to uncover the fundamental secrets of our universe. History has taught us this lesson repeatedly: humanity’s greatest leaps forward are team sports.


Today, many frame the development of quantum computing as another “space race”: a zero-sum competition between global powers. As a physicist and leader who operates across continents, I believe this metaphor is not only outdated but dangerously counterproductive.
